I am first and foremost a single mother of two fantastic children, who are very much like their mother. Hahaha, look out world! I love my kids, and have a number of tattoos to prove it.
I have been a receptionist, a tumor registrar, a waitress, a cook, an executive assistant for a financial planner, a field secretary for a construction company, a bartender (nearly 12 years!), and a custodian for an elementary school. I am currently an at-risk aide (glorified name for tutor) for a high school. I am also working as an academic coach for GearUp Wyoming.
Recently I have worked on getting a writing group together, which has now morphed into 2 groups - one for adults and one for teenagers (although my son is in it he tells me). This has provided me an outlet and some much needed pushing to work on my own stories, pieces of which can be found here.
I have eclectic tastes in everything - reading (Piers Anthony to Shakespeare, and beyond), music (Wagner to Metallica, Sinatra to anything not Rush), friends (hahaha, too easy).
My mother has been a rock in my life, despite the number of times I have wanted to take a rock to her (somedays she is like one of my children).
My Yorkie is a great little diversion to the insanity of the human world through her own insane little doggie ways. I love that crazy girl!
